Stretching for you and your athlete
Get the competitive edge
Go to any professional sporting event and you will see the million
dollar athletes being stretched by the trainer. A body specific
stretch program is not just for elite athletes, it has become a
key component for athletes of any ability and sport. From the
weekend warrior to the ultra athlete stretching can enhance
athletic performance, improve circulation and relieve muscle
tension.
As an integral component to a winning training program a regular
stretch program can improve range of motion increase flexibility,
reduce muscle soreness, aid in recovery, and improve performance.
By reducing fatigue, athletes can train better with longer more
effective workouts.
Our Active Stretch Workshop:
The Active Bodyworks Active Stretch Workshop will teach you how to
use the techniques of active stretching and how to use
Nukkles (massage tool) to address the needs of
your athletes body. Our 3 hour hands on workshop will teach the
basics of stretching, implementation of stretching into your
athletes training program, how and what muscles to stretch and how
to create a pre and post event program to help improve performance
and reduce recovery time.
Our Facilitated Stretch Program:
Everyone should
have an
individually-tailored program that
takes into account your chosen sport, any injuries, your personal
strengths, weaknesses, fitness level and/or sport goals.
The Active Bodyworks
Facilitated Stretch and Posture Correction Training Program uses our client evaluation of muscle
and joint range of motion to determined the specific needs of each
body. With the use of your personal evaluation we will design a
stretch and/or functional (therapeutic) exercise program for you
to incorporate into your workout or sports training program. Stretches
are taught in one on one sessions or group sessions.
Learn to stretch:
The Essential Body Parts class
instructs participants through self evaluation and therapeutic
stretches to revitalize and address problem muscle and joint
areas. Classes are designed
around client evaluation,
posture
correction training to improved performance,
balance, strength, and range of motion of joints and muscles.
Each class will cover 1 or 2 joints and the muscles that support
that joint. Class time 30 min.
